Understanding Grief
Grief is a human response to loss. It’s the emotional suffering felt when someone or something you loveis taken away. Events such as the death of a parent or child, a miscarriage, a divorce or a devastating medical diagnosis can trigger grief.

Regardless of the type of loss experienced, everyone grieves differently. Though there are recognized
stages in the grieving process, not everyone will pass through each stage - and not everyone has to, in order to heal.
